WayS To Get Involved
Come to Bearings BBQ & Brew
Join us Sunday, October 1st to support the Bearings Bike Shop! Experience Monday Night Brewing’s new space + free tastings, the new Westside Trail, and help raise funds for the incredible growth Bearings Bike Shop is experiencing!
Donate A Bike
The most straightforward way to get involved is to give a bike. All bikes that are earned by students are donated from people just like you! We use all bike sizes, but the most commonly earned sizes are children’s BMX style bikes, preferably in good working order – though we can certainly repair bikes that aren’t hopelessly wrecked. Help even more by donating $25 along with your bike to fund parts and the necessary work to render your old two-wheeler back to working condition.
Drop it off during business hours, or email Becky for more information.
Host a Bike Drive
Want to make a bigger impact? Hosting a bike drive is perfect for families, school groups, churches, and neighborhoods. Simply canvas your community in search of bikes we can use, then work with us to get the bikes where they need to go. We make it even easier for you with a flyer template and Step-by-Step how-to guide!
If you are interested in hosting a drive, please contact us using the form below to get started.
Purchase Shop Items
As you can imagine, with hundreds of kid coming through our shops each year and the thousands of repairs we make, we fly through things like chain lube, degreaser, WD-40 and tools of all sorts. If you're interested in supporting the shop by donating some of the items that keep us running, check out our wishlist on Amazon today!
Bearings Bike Shop is sustained through the support of regular volunteers committed to being positive influences in the lives of our kids, and supporting the efforts that make our work possible. If you're interested in volunteering on a regular basis in the shop, special outreach events, or even fundraising or marketing efforts that help share our story, drop us a line! We'd love to connect with you!
